Job summary

South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL, seeks a Lead Housekeeper to supervise Environmental Services staff and maintain a clean, safe living environment for residents. You will answer calls, assign tasks, train staff, and conduct monthly inspections with corrective actions as needed.

Responsibilities include planning programs, coordinating with other departments, developing policies, and ensuring proper use of supplies. Requires a high school diploma or GED and ability to lift 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Previous housekeeping experience is desirable but not required.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary environment.
• Coordinate housekeeping services with other facility departments.
• Assist in developing and maintaining housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Ensure staff follow policies and use equipment efficiently; evaluate supplies and equipment.
• Make recommendations to the Administrator about housekeeping operations.
• Perform housekeeping in apartments, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Prioritize tasks as directed by supervisor.
