Job summary

The Crescent Hotels Group is seeking a dedicated housekeeping supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensure guest room cleanliness, and maintain brand standards at our Houston property.

You will train, mentor, and coordinate a team of room attendants, housepersons, lobby attendants, and laundry staff while ensuring timely completion of duties and a superior guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising housekeeping staff (room attendants, housepersons, lobby attendants, and laundry attendants).
• Ability to inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and brand standards.
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor housekeeping staff on procedures and safety.

• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance on room status and repairs.
• Maintain records of inspections, room status, and lost & found items.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housepersons, lobby attendants, and laundry attendants.
2. Inspect guest rooms, suites, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with hotel and brand standards.
3. Assign daily work schedules and monitor productivity to ensure timely completion of assigned duties.
4. Train, coach, and mentor housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and guest service expectations.
5. Monitor inventory levels of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies and report shortages as needed.
6. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and special needs.
7. Ensure compliance with all brand standards, OSHA, and hotel safety policies and procedures.
8. Assist with onboarding and performance evaluations for housekeeping staff.
9. Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance departments regarding room status, repairs, and guest requests.
10. Maintain accurate records of inspections, room status updates, lost and found items, and maintenance issues.
11. Understand and continue to self-educate on the brand and management company systems, using them to the best ability to ensure comfort in the role and growth for the hotel, team and individual.
12. Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
13. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
14. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
