Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor to lead the departments, plan, organize and direct daily operations in compliance with federal, state and local standards, ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

You will supervise staff, make independent decisions, interpret cost reports and budgets, and work cooperatively with administrators and other personnel to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.
• Must be able to read and interpret Housekeeping/Laundry cost reports and budgets.
• Knowledge of housekeeping/laundry practices and related laws/regulations.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret department programs and procedures.
• Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
• Must be able to supervise and coordinate personnel in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Housekeeping/Laundry Departments.
• Direct operations to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary facility in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Supervise staff and work collaboratively with Administrators and other personnel.
