Job summary

Watertown Health Care Center is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations, ensuring the facility remains clean, safe, and comfortable for residents and staff.

You will supervise staff, assign tasks, train new personnel, maintain equipment, and ensure sanitation procedures meet federal, state, and local standards. Excellent communication with residents, families, and regulators is required.

Qualifications

• Sanitation practices knowledge related to food handling.
• Ability to positively interact with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and public.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and follow written and oral directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day housekeeping functions of assigned personnel.
• Assign personnel to specific tasks according to daily work assignments.
• Ensure tasks follow established housekeeping procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive work areas.
• Assist in orientation and training of housekeeping staff.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and stored properly at the end of the shift.
• Schedule work assignments and cleaning schedules; revise as necessary.
• Ensure schedules are followed as closely as possible.
