Job summary

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel El Paso Downtown is seeking a hotel maintenance engineer to respond to service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and keep building systems running smoothly.

Candidates should have HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building construction experience, with vocational training or certification. Strong communication skills and the ability to read blueprints are essential.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within 30 minutes of receipt.
• Complete work orders daily and inform supervisor of incomplete orders.
• Maintain pools, filters and pumps daily.
• Adjust televisions and program boxes as needed.
• Change light bulbs and ballasts promptly.
• Replace air filters on AC units regularly.
• Repair vacuums and return to service within 2 days.
• Clean grounds, garages and parking lots.
