Job summary

TRU by Hilton in Austin, TX is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee facility operations, safety programs, and a team of staff. You will coordinate preventive maintenance, manage vendors, and ensure high standards of safety and service across hotel systems.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on maintenance experience in hotel environments, and the ability to train staff and manage work orders efficiently. On-site position with a focus on reliability and guest safety.

Qualifications

• 2 years: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Two years of college or vocational training in electrical or mechanical engineering or plumbing plus six years of work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services for a hotel or hotels.
• Proven ability to supervise, train and evaluate maintenance staff and coordinate with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with co-workers and supervisor.
• Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies are corrected.
• Administers the preventative maintenance program and completes work orders on time.
• Supervises and assists engineering staff in maintaining and repairing fire and life safety systems, room equipment, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Meets with vendors to discuss scope, products and materials used in repair activities.
• Obtains pricing and bids or develops cost estimates as directed.
• Monitors tool inventories and places orders with approved vendors as needed.
• Maintains working spaces in safe and clean condition.
