Job summary

The Whitley in Buckhead seeks an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the hotel's preventive maintenance, life safety, and utility systems. You will manage capital projects, coordinate engineering operations, and ensure compliance with brand standards and local codes.

We value hands-on leaders with 3+ years in hotel engineering, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, and the ability to train and develop a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience at a comparable location.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, maintenance budgeting, and cost controls.
• Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Strong leadership and ability to train and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance of the hotel's mechanical/electrical systems.
• Monitor life safety systems and compliance with codes.
• Manage engineering-related capital projects and budgets.
• Supervise and develop engineering staff and operations.
• Maintain accurate records for PM programs, budgets, and inspections.
