Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts, managing the Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa in Frisco, seeks an Assistant Controller to direct financial activities, safeguard assets, and prepare GAAP-compliant reports.

In this on-site role, you will oversee night audit processes, postings to city ledger, credit card reconciliations, vendor invoicing, and timely payments, while upholding HEI standards and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Accounting and hotel experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to compile facts and figures.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Sort and verify Night Audit work (receivables) including reconciliation of banquet extensions and cost coding.
• Post city ledger payments in PMS, reconcile and bill city ledger accounts; assist in collections.
• Reconcile credit card backups, maintain logs, and bill out cards (AMEX, Diners, etc.).
• Set up new accounts per established credit policy.
• Process approved invoices for payment with required signatures and backups.
• Pay hotel invoices timely; ensure accuracy of amounts and account coding.
• Interface checks and log manual checks for Controller review.
