Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality is seeking a Senior Accountant to support a cluster of Lake Nona properties, including Lake Nona Wave Hotel, with focus on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations.

You will partner with Finance and property leadership to improve processes and ensure regulatory compliance, while managing daily financial operations and payroll across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Master’s Degree may be preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience as an accountant in the hotel/hospitality industry.
• Experience managing daily financial transactions and payroll.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Understanding of financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and hotel financial systems (ProfitSword, Oracle, Opera/Micros).
• Excellent communication and ability to present to owners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial accounts.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and collections.
• Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure internal controls and policy compliance to protect assets.
• Oversee payroll processing and timely payments.
• Prepare and file tax returns (sales tax, payroll tax, etc.).
• Conduct financial analysis to identify cost savings and revenue opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation.
