BURL Outreach Clinical Laboratory in Burbank is seeking a Laboratory Technician 2 to support phlebotomy operations and lab processes. Qualifications

• California Phlebotomy Technician certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy in a high-volume lab.
• Willing to work at multiple draw stations as needed.
• Weekend/holiday availability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of LIS/HIS data entry and QA practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
• Prepare specimens for analysis.
• Coordinate couriers and routes, including follow-ups on delays.
• Triage lab samples and verify information.
• Enter and verify patient/test data into the computer.
• Generate labels for specimens and route to appropriate areas.
• Prepare samples for transport to referral labs or storage.
• Document draws, added tests, and cancelled/rejected specimens.
