Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an experienced Supervisor of Elevator Maintenance to lead the Elevator Shop across the Dallas campus. You will supervise skilled mechanics, coordinate contractors, ensure regulatory compliance, and minimize downtime while performing hands-on maintenance and repairs.

The role requires 10+ years in elevator maintenance, supervisory experience, and knowledge of relay logic and microprocessor controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years elevator maintenance experience
• Demonstrated supervisory/management experience
• Knowledge of relay logic and micrprocessor controls
• Active CET/CETS, IUEC, or QEI credentials
• Active Texas Driver License
• Knowledge of Texas TDLR and ASME A17.1 safety standards
• Experience with CMMS, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, fall protection, and confined-space procedures
• Associate's degree or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic elevator inspections per PM schedule
• Lead Elevator Mechanics and coordinate contractors
• Inspect and repair elevators; respond to emergencies
• Maintain Certificates of Compliance with TDLR
• Plan and supervise work; assign tasks
• Maintain time and attendance records
• Provide cost estimates and assist policy development
