Job summary

Liberty Hospice in North Carolina seeks an experienced Hospice Administrator to oversee operations, staffing, compliance, and patient care coordination. You will lead clinical and administrative teams, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and support staff development in a compassionate, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities include resource optimization, quality oversight, staff training, and collaboration with physicians and external partners to deliver high-quality hospice

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NC license; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of five years clinical nursing experience including hospice care and regulatory standards.
• Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of hospice operational procedures and regulatory standards.
• Understanding of CoPs, state/local regulations, and financial management of hospice services.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical data.
• CPR certified.
• Minimum 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient, effective utilization of existing staffing resources.
• Evaluate and monitor the quality of services delivered and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and evaluate job performance of each Hospice Clinical Manager and Hospice Operations Support Technician to ensure compliance with established performance expectations and standards of practice.
• Assist the Hospice Clinical Manager with performance management of clinical staff.
• Participate in orientation, competency evaluation, and education/training activities for all Hospice staff.
• Monitor clinical processes, charting/documentation, and financial data for efficient resource utilization.
• Facilitate delivery of hospice services by acting as a resource for staff, physicians, referral sources, patients, and other customers.
• Provide direct patient care including case management, care planning, and coordination of services.
• Perform human resources functions to ensure compliance with agency policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
