Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and driven Hospice Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will build meaningful connections with nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, and other referral partners to help patients and families access the care they need. As a Hospice Account Executive you’ll represent our Agency in the community through sales, marketing, and education efforts. You’ll share the story of our services, strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals, and help increase awareness of hospice care. Your work directly supports our mission and helps us reach more families while ensuring compliance with agency policies and healthcare regulations. Responsibilities
- Build collaborative relationships internally and externally.
- Execute effective sales calls that identify referral needs and communicate the features and benefits of Immediate Home Health & Hospice. This includes pre‑ and post‑call planning, establishing rapport, effective questioning, proposing solutions, handling objections, and closing.
- Execute a weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategy to increase market share through key account development, prospecting/diversification, and call frequency/routing. Plan activity to maximize territory coverage of existing and prospective accounts.
- Participate in collaborative strategic planning and problem solving related to marketing growth strategies and community education.
- Achieve admission goals and expectations as established at hire or review of annual agency budget goals.
- Attend staff meetings to update on accounts, customer needs, and progress toward agency growth strategies.
- Coordinate in‑service trainings with community and medical‑based groups to educate them on hospice services as needed.
- Check e‑mail daily and respond to phone messages within 24 business hours.
- Perform all sales administration duties including CRM compliance, expense reports, payroll timesheets, medical director timesheets, strategic territory planning, PTO requests, and necessary paperwork.
- Complete all other projects assigned by the leadership team.
Qualifications
- Previous sales/marketing experience, preferably in hospice, home health, or other healthcare services or products.
- Demonstrated history of positive sales results and customer relationships that led to outstanding results.
- Minimum hospice experience of 5 years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to market effectively with customers, referral sources, and the community.
- Strong computer skills.
- Bachelor’s degree and related healthcare experience and knowledge preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and an insured vehicle in good working order.
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting.
