Qualifications

• High school diploma required; construction management degree preferred.
• 4–10 years construction experience with supervisory or project oversight.
• Advanced training in trades within residential building industry preferred.
• Knowledge of homebuilding systems, codes and ROC.
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect all construction aspects.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient with Word/Excel; Hyphen knowledge a plus.
• Capable of explaining complex issues clearly to others.
• Strong problem/conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction through all phases to deliver a quality home.
• Schedule subcontractors and delivery dates for materials.
• Ensure building codes and Meritage quality standards are met.
• Conduct walk-through inspections with homeowners.
• Communicate safety standards to laborers; enforce safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and subdivision.
• Interact daily with departments, subcontractors, customers, and inspectors.
• Attend monthly and quarterly construction meetings.
