Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to lead multiple single-family home builds. You will supervise staff, manage subcontractors, and ensure adherence to safety, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires strong knowledge of local codes and ICC G13 certification, with proficiency in Chief Architect and MS Office. This position is based on-site at our San Antonio facilities and builds sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience building single-family homes or 4+ years with related degree.
• 4+ years’ supervision experience including hiring, firing, evaluating, and training employees.
• ICC G13 Certification and knowledge of local building codes.
• Knowledge of City of San Antonio building codes, permitting, and inspection processes.
• Proficiency in Chief Architect, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Participate in management team meetings and advise on organizational improvements.
• Keep CEO informed of significant issues and build schedules.
• Ensure adherence to Habitat policies, record-keeping, and accurate reporting.
• Draft annual build schedules for all models and programs.
• Oversee construction sites, staffing, safety, and subcontractor coordination.
• Coordinate communication between construction staff and other departments.
• Represent Habitat on external commissions and associations.
