Job summary

Erie Neighborhood House in Chicago is seeking a Home-Based Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the EHS Home-Based Program and ensure services meet national Head Start standards.

Reporting to the Director of Early Childhood Education, you will lead a professional team, develop strategic partnerships across agencies, monitor enrollment, budgeting, and program evaluation, and mentor staff to deliver culturally responsive services to immigrant and low-income families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development; or A.A with at least 5 years of experience in home visiting.
• Experience working with families with very young children.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards.
• Must acquire Gateways Family Service credential level 5 within the first 6 months of employment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Have knowledge in Childplus or be willing to learn the system.
• DCFS licensing forms, including background checks, are part of employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the EHS Home-Based Program.
• Ensure Home Visiting services meet national Head Start standards.
• Develop strategic vision and partnerships for the Home Visiting program.
• Manage enrollment, data reporting, and quarterly funder reports.
• Provide staff supervision, training, and professional development.
• Monitor program budget and collaborate with finance for revisions.
