Job summary

The State of Florida is seeking a Senior Human Services Program Specialist to lead the Ending the HIV Epidemic program within the HIV/AIDS unit in Tallahassee. The role collaborates with county health departments, CBOs, and state partners to implement EHE strategies and ensure effective service delivery.

The position requires daily in-office or field work and travel to support funded providers, monitor performance, and coordinate statewide activities across seven jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with andadvice county health departments and community-based organizations (CBOs) on implementing the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative.
• Serve as the programmatic lead for statewide EHE activities and coordinates efforts across Florida’s seven EHEjurisdictions.
• Responsibilities include providing technicalassistance(TA), training, and guidance related to EHE service delivery, education, data collection, monitoring, and evaluation.
• This position is based in the Department of Health’s State Health Office in Tallahassee and reports to the HIV Program Manager.
• Travel is required to conduct on-site visits and provide TA and training to agencies on topics such as screening and counseling, service delivery, patient navigation, community engagement and education, adherence counseling, patient assistance programs, data collection, monitoring, and evaluation.
