Job summary

Emory Medical Laboratory, part of Emory Healthcare, seeks a certified Histotechnologist III to support clinical care, education, and research. Experience in Immunohistochemistry is required.

The role involves routine and complex histologic procedures, supervision of staff, and active participation in quality control and development of IHC antibodies. Shift is 10am–6:30pm with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant experience with supervisor/lead experience preferred.
• Certification as HTL (ASCP) or HT(ASCP).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine or complex histologic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
• Serves as a technical resource for less experienced staff and may supervise employees within a section of the department.
• Assists in research projects.
• Maintains a reference system of control blocks and slides for use in special studies.
• Supports CAP and safety standards in daily operations.
