MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks a Histology Technologist to process all specimens in the Histology laboratory under minimal supervision. The role requires independent judgment in selecting methodologies for tissue processing and solving routine problems, contributing to efficient pathology workflow.

Responsibilities include preparing and processing surgical pathology specimens for pathologist review, with a Bachelor’s degree in science, at least 3 years of clinical experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science from an accredited college/university.
• At least 3 years of clinical work experience required.
• HTL(ASCP) certification by ASCP BOC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Process all specimens in the Histology lab under minimal supervision.
• Prepare and Histological processing of all surgical pathology specimens for pathologist review.
• Apply independent judgment in selection of processing methodologies and in solving routine problems.
