Qualifications

• 5-7 years of histology experience in an anatomic pathology lab
• Background in breast cancer diagnostics is a plus
• Significant histology and IHC experience in a clinical lab
• Experience using imaging platforms is a plus
• ASCP QIHC certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient samples, including grossing, tissue processing, tissue sectioning, and routine staining
• Performs immunohistochemical staining of tissue sections using automated immuno-stainers
• Performs whole slide imaging of stained slides using automated slide scanner
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Adheres to safety and regulatory guidelines in the histology lab
