Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• ASCP licensure or other certifications required.

• 3 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees routine operations of the Histology department.
• Instructs staff in histologic techniques as necessary.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Embedding and microtomy of surgical specimens.
• Tissue processing and overnight programs.
• Special stains and immunohistochemistry; maintains control slides.
• Ensures documentation for accreditation and readiness for inspections.
