Job summary

City of Phoenix seeks a Planner III to lead the Hillside and Landscape Teams in the Site Planning Division. The role supervises staff, guides zoning analyses, and helps develop improvements to the development process while coordinating with internal and external partners.

The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of site planning, grading and drainage, and public outreach. This position reports to the Principal Landscape Architect and advances City planning goals.

Qualifications

• Five years of urban planning experience, with supervision responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in urban planning or related field required.
• Experience with zoning, general plan implementation, and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Hillside and Landscape Teams within the Site Planning Division.
• Provide technical advice on zoning regulations and development processes.
• Coordinate customer outreach, hearings, and appeals.
