Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior System & Subsystem HIL Integration Engineer to join the Software Development & Integration Lab Team. You will design, implement, and test HIL bench solutions, integrate various plant models and ECU components, and improve test automation.

Based at the GM Global Technical Center, Estes Engineering Center, the role involves developing real-time simulations, adapting chassis and propulsion models, and training lab users to expand bench capabilities across vehicle

Qualifications

• Must have experience with HIL integration and bench instrumentation.
• Experience developing real-time models and simulations using Matlab/Simulink.
• Ability to adapt ECU sensors/actuators and integrate with various plant models.
• Strong scripting/automation skills to improve testing efficiency.
• Ability to train lab users and define bench/test requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test novel HIL bench solutions and instrumentation.
• Develop test configurations and real-time simulation models with Matlab/Simulink.
• Adapt and integrate chassis, electrification, and propulsion models with HIL benches.
• Develop vehicle dynamics models (CarSim/VeDyna/ASM-VD) for bench use.
• Create HIL test automation and scripting solutions to boost efficiency.
• Train and support lab users on Hardware-In-the-Loop bench usage.
• Define bench and test property technical requirements.
• Perform electrical design integration and verification.
