Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and test HiL tool platforms in modern simulation environments (HiL, SIL, MIL). You will lead integration, gather requirements, and write unit tests while refining a Python-based codebase and CI/CD workflows.

The role emphasizes architecture, testing, and agile practices within a fast-paced engineering team. Qualified candidates bring 5+ years of Python OOP, FAST APIs, and Docker, plus cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years developing UI applications using Python OOP, FAST APIs, Docker.
• 5+ years of experience with Ethernet protocols TCP/IP, UDP.
• 5+ years of object-oriented programming.
• 5+ years applying Agile development methodologies and tools.
• 5+ years building binaries from source and deploying across environments.
• 3+ years Agile Scrum with Confluence, GIT, Jira, gitActions, TestRail.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Cloud platform experience: AWS, Azure or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and testing of software tools for HiL hardware.
• Design and architect frontend and backend of HiL-based test tool platform.
• Assist with architecture for HiL/SIL/MIL environments via hardware and software.
• Lead systems-level integration of software components.
• Gather user requirements and translate to functional specs.
• Write requirement-based unit tests for developed code.
• Troubleshoot and debug defects reported by users.
• Maintain/refactor codebase in Python.
• Apply software QA standards and agile methodologies.
