Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Transportation Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of large highway projects across the Southeast from concept to closeout.

Based in Columbia, SC, this hybrid role offers collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, client relationship management, and opportunities to advance into leadership while delivering impactful transportation initiatives in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with eight years highway/roadway design experience.
• Four years of project management experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license for SC, NC, or TN or reciprocity.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, scopes, and client relationships.
• Experience in transportation project development and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage mid-sized to large transportation and highway design projects from planning through construction services.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project teams.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and quality objectives.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of roadway, drainage, traffic, structural, and environmental professionals.
• Oversee project delivery to ensure technical excellence, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with state DOTs, local agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
