Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-dollar highway design projects in New Jersey. You will guide project scope, schedule, and budget while mentoring the team and coordinating with subconsultants.

The role emphasizes client relationships and strategic growth. You will oversee technical execution, quality control, and project delivery, with opportunities to shape business development and marketing efforts within a 100% employee-owned firm offering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• 15+ years’ experience in highway design, permitting and project management preferred.
• NJDEP, NEPA process experience a plus.
• New Jersey PE license required.
• Experience with NJDOT/NJ Turnpike/NJ Counties/MPOs is preferred.
• Strong client management, communications, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead highway engineering design tasks including geometrics, profiles/grading, erosion control, and traffic maintenance and protection.
• Manage projects in scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with subconsultants to define project scope and fee.
• Develop project plans and quality management plans; create and maintain schedules.
• Assist with client submittals, reports, and graphics; perform QA reviews.
• Manage subconsultants and monitor project progress; mitigate risks.
