Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a Crew Leader to conduct Highway Maintenance Services and related tasks. The role involves training in Highway/Roadway maintenance and supervising field personnel to ensure safe, efficient work.

The ideal candidate will bring infrastructure maintenance experience, a valid CDL (preferred), and knowledge of MUTCD traffic control procedures. Strong communication in English is required and a Florida applicator license is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Five years of infrastructure maintenance and/or construction experience.
• Prefers a valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to plan and monitor field crews and document timesheets.
• Knowledge of MUTCD and traffic control procedures for work zones.
• Must communicate clearly in English.
• Willing to possess FDOT TTC advanced course and maintain TTC certificate.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
