Qualifications

• Maintain compliance with safety policies and budget constraints.
• Keep accurate records and prepare budgets for tool and equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a force of mechanics, helpers and apprentices engaged in constructing, servicing and repairing automotive, construction and highway maintenance equipment.
• Make decisions regarding repair, use and transportation of equipment; direct shop and field personnel.
• Maintain a safe workplace and ensure timely, quality repairs in collaboration with vendors and district personnel.
• Directs efforts of shop and field personnel and maintains good working relationships with outside vendors.
• Works with other State agencies to promote economical use of equipment.
