LaBella Associates seeks a Senior Highway Engineer to manage transportation projects in our New York office locations, including Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Poughkeepsie, and White Plains. You will lead client relationships, supervise staff, and collaborate with market leadership to develop new business, while ensuring quality delivery on mid to large scale projects.

The role requires 15+ years of transportation/PM experience and a NY PE license; a master’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required; Master’s degree a plus.
• 15+ years of transportation/project management experience.
• NY PE license required; additional state licenses a plus.
• Experience on NYSDOT, NYSTA and Local Federal Aid projects.
• Established relationships within the industry.
• Strong business development skills.
• Proven project management capabilities and PM processes knowledge.
• Experience in winning proposals and delivering client presentations.
• Articulate and persuasive communicator, both in meetings and presentations.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Job description

LaBella Associates is currently seeking a Senior Highway Engineer in one of our New York office locations to manage transportation projects, manage relationships with existing clients and work with market leadership to develop new clients. LaBella’s New York office locations include Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Poughkeepsie, and White Plains, . The successful candidate must be technically astute in transportation engineering and have a proven background of management leadership on transportation projects. This role will often include working as a technical specialist or project manager on mid to large size projects.

Duties

• Manages and oversees their assigned projects.
• Participates in, and conducts business development activities, including organizing and/or attending meetings with clients.
• Prepares and coordinates proposal efforts to secure work.
• Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
• \\Actively manages project scope, schedule and budget. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
• Develops and enhances key client relationships and serves as one of the primary company contacts.
• Manages and develops junior and mid-level staff.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $195,000 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required; Master’s degree a plus.
