Job summary

Parsons is seeking Senior Highway Design Engineers to join a team working on major New York State projects. The role involves leading design for highways, interchanges, and streets, with 3D modeling and coordination with CAD teams. Hybrid work in New York with remote options for qualifying candidates.

Ideal candidates will have a 4-year Civil Engineering degree, 8+ years in 3D highway design, a P.E. license, and strong CAD skills, with familiarity in Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• 8+ years of experience with 3D highway design.
• P.E. License required.
• Proficiency with CAD and related engineering software.
• Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform highway, interchange, and street design including geometric design, 3D modeling, drainage design, work zone traffic control, construction staging, and quantity calculations.
• Interface with CAD designers, other engineers, and subcontractors.
• Develop and supervise engineering products meeting customer quality requirements, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
• Produce detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design packages, and technical reports.
• Optimize plans by integrating drainage/utility information and generate construction quantities.
• Support multi-disciplinary design development teams for project execution.
