Job summary

Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC is seeking a full-time Highway Design Engineer in Freehold, NJ. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of highway design experience, including intersections and roundabouts, and a NJ/PA PE license preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation is desired, along with drainage and MPT design expertise. Join a multi-disciplinary team delivering design, reports, and bid packages while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required or equivalent experience.
• NJ/PA PE license preferred; PTOE certificate a plus.
• 6+ years of highway design experience including intersections and roundabouts.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation experience preferred.
• Experience in drainage and stormwater management design; MPT design.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway/highway safety inspections and analysis.
• Design highway geometry, access, drainage, guide rails, signing and striping.
• Prepare reports, plans, specifications, estimates and bid packages.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and subconsultants.
• Coordinate client meetings and support business development.
