Senior Highway Design Engineer – Full-Time
A well-established, multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm is seeking a Senior Highway Design Engineer to join its growing transportation team. With a legacy of excellence in civil, municipal, and land development engineering, this position offers a unique opportunity to lead and contribute to complex roadway infrastructure projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Lead the design of roadway and highway projects, including horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage, guide rail, signage, striping, access management, ROW, and MPT.
Conduct roadway safety audits and inspections, preparing detailed analysis and improvement recommendations.
Prepare and oversee the development of plans, reports, specifications, estimates, and bid documents.
Collaborate with internal teams and external subconsultants on multi-disciplinary projects.
Conduct field visits during project execution and construction phases to support client needs.
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with agency standards.
Represent the firm in client meetings and assist in client development efforts.
Client Support
Maintain and build client relationships by delivering high-quality engineering solutions within budget and schedule.
Actively support proposal development and project scoping.
Team Mentorship
Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on design standards, best practices, and career growth.
Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that supports technical development.
