Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an engineer to produce and modify design calculations, reports, plans and specifications for diverse infrastructure projects. You will work with the project manager to research, develop and deliver discipline elements and provide guidance to junior staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with relevant experience (or higher degrees), and may prefer advanced certifications such as EIT, PE and AICP depending on discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Engineering and 3 year of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience with design calculations, reports, and plans
• Ability to mentor and review junior staff

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided
• Assist in the development of project specifications
• Develop discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables
• Aids in coordination and productivity of project team members
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced team members
• Work with multiple disciplines on projects
• Perform quality control reviews of deliverables
• Coordinate schedules and distribution of work within discipline
• Perform other duties as assigned
