Job summary

The Lane Construction Corporation is seeking a Superintendent to coordinate earthwork, roadwork, and self-performed tasks, directing foremen and field crews to meet budget and schedule. The role demands strong leadership, safety emphasis, and the ability to work under pressure in a high-production highway construction environment.

You will oversee scheduling, supervise crews, collaborate with engineers, and mentor foremen and craft workers while ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Heavy/Highway contractor.
• Demonstrated decision making skills.
• Ability to work in a high production environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with DOT standards.
• Proven leadership and team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field personnel, daily/weekly schedules, and construction operations
• Supervise grading, drainage, paving, structures, and other highway crews
• Provide leadership and direction to construction personnel
• Coordinate work with other Lane superintendents and subcontractors
• Assist in On-the-Job training
• Lead by example to emphasize safety, quality and production
• Assist engineers with quantities and productions
• Attend status meetings to discuss progress and public impact
