Job summary

Substation Engineering Company (SECo) seeks a mid to senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design of high voltage substations up to 765 kV. The role focuses on solid engineering fundamentals, accurate analyses, and compliance with client standards.

Responsibilities include estimating, engineering and design for new and retrofit projects, producing site plans and drawings, and performing grounding and power-system calculations.

Qualifications

• BSEE with 5+ years of relevant experience in substation engineering and strong knowledge of applicable theories and practices.
• Proficiency in professional practice and ability to deliver within client standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation preferred.
• English communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Provides estimating, engineering, and design for new and retrofit switchyard and substation projects up to 765kV.
• Designs and modifies physical design, specifications and layouts for major equipment and structures.
• Prepares drawings for Site Plans, Plan and Elevation Views, Grounding, Conduit, Lighting and control building arrangements.
• Performs grounding design, voltage drop, conductor sizing, and AC/DC system sizing calculations.
• Monitors budget and schedule for assigned tasks; coordinates with other disciplines.
• Provides technical direction to subordinate team members and ensures QA of documents.
