Job summary

ANS is seeking a High Voltage Power System Studies – Senior Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Denver. The ideal candidate will engage in a diverse range of power system projects, including analysis, modeling, and design support for substations and transmission components.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years of power system analysis experience, and strong problem-solving skills. PE licensure is preferred; MS in Electrical Engineering is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
8+ years of experience in power system analysis.
PE Licensure preferred; strong analytical capability and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience in load flow, short circuit, and stability studies; experience with renewables is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct feasibility studies, power system modeling, and electrical calculations for substation and transmission line projects.
Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support power system analysis.
Analyze designs to ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NERC standards.
Provide mentorship and lead teams; contribute technical expertise to proposals and business development.
Lead, teach and mentor junior engineers.
