Job summary

The Loring Group seeks a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to drive HVHP technology development, take ideas from concept to prototype, and lead power supply projects across multiple sites. You will work hands-on in a fast-moving environment, shaping designs for manufacturability and performance.

The successful candidate has 10+ years in power electronics, strong HV experience, and a proven record of delivering design-ready products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of power electronics design experience, including HV DC power supplies.
Proven track record bringing designs from concept to market with cost focus.
Deep knowledge of switch-mode power supply and inverter designs, HV materials and insulation.
Hands-on lab experience with diverse test equipment; familiarity with C, LabVIEW, or MATLAB is desirable.
Clear communicator capable of presenting findings and leading discussions.

Responsibilities

Drive early-stage technology development for HVHP roadmap, turning concepts into prototypes.
Contribute senior technical depth across multiple projects, including new product lines and derivatives.
Lead schematic creation, PCB reviews, circuit analysis, and lab testing with design-signoff.
Document results and present HV technology findings to stakeholders across sites.
Direct and mentor engineering technicians and junior engineers in the lab.
