Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York seeks a Senior Specialist to ensure safe, reliable high-tension design, construction, maintenance, and operation of the electric system. You will lead projects for HT and DER interconnections, interact with internal teams and external customers, and uphold safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of related engineering experience in electrical systems or operations.
Experience with distribution systems, substations, relay protection, and fault analysis is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication, able to interact with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and feasibility-check electrical designs for transmission and DER interconnections.
Review and maintain engineering specifications and technical documentation.
Perform system analyses, load-flow, protection studies, and contingency studies for HT locations.
Support site visits, testing, and interconnection activities with customers and stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal/external teams and present findings to management.
