Credo in San Jose is hiring a High Speed Transceiver Application Engineer to validate 400G/800G/1.6T modules, perform electrical validation, automation development, and system-level debugging with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed transceivers such as QSFP-DD, OSFP, and AEC, and related lab instruments (e.g., oscilloscope, BERT, and VNA).
• Strong SerDes, signal integrity, and high-speed link knowledge; DSP familiarity for bring-up and tuning code.
• Ability to work independently or in a team across hardware, firmware, and manufacturing.
• Passion for high-speed signaling and system-level validation.

Responsibilities

• Characterize TIA/EML/SiPho optical components and tune laser/modulator settings.
• Validate stress receiver tests for 400G/800G/1.6T links and ensure link budgets.
• Build automation scripts for test execution, data collection, and analysis in Python.
• Analyze results, identify root causes, and drive cross-functional resolutions.
• Contribute to DSP bring-up and low-level signal processing code.
