Supermicro is seeking an experienced Optical Transceiver Test Engineer in San Jose to develop, deploy, and optimize manufacturing test solutions for 800G and 1.6T transceivers. You will lead production test architecture, automation, yield improvement, and failure analysis for high-volume module production.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in high-speed optics, automated test systems, and data-driven yield optimization, with emphasis on test coverage, reliability, and process improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Optical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in optical module test or manufacturing/test engineering.
• Strong knowledge of 800G and 1.6T optical transceivers.
• Experience with OSFP and QSFP form factors, PAM4 signaling.
• Experience with automated test equipment development and deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain for 800G and 1.6T Optical Transceiver test solutions.
• Design production test flows for PCBA, optical assembly, final module test, and system-level validation.
• Define test specifications, limits, guard bands, and release criteria.
• Improve test coverage, throughput, and manufacturing efficiency while maintaining product quality.
• Develop automated test software and scripts using Python, C#, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
• Create test reports, dashboards, and automated data collection systems.
• Support test equipment calibration and maintenance activities.
• Work closely with manufacturing, process, and product engineering teams to resolve issues impacting production output.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• NPI Support: Develop manufacturing test plans and qualification procedures; Validate test equipment and readiness; Collaborate with design teams to improve DFT/DFM.
