Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Senior Power Systems Engineer (Starship) to design, build, operate, and maintain Starbase's high-power electrical infrastructure in Texas. You will lead cross-functional projects, drive rapid improvements, and scale microgrids to support Starship production and propellant generation at Starbase.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in power systems, familiarity with high-voltage equipment up to 345 kV, and demonstrated leadership in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power systems design, analysis, and build, with high-power/high-voltage focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and maintain Starbase, TX power microgrids.
• Lead cross-functional projects and drive rapid improvements at Starbase launch sites.
• Scale systems to meet Starship production rate targets while maintaining safety and compliance.
• Create sitewide power budgets, monitoring, and metering for critical assets.
• Develop strategies for high-power launch and grid infrastructure.
