Job summary

Round-Peg Solutions (RPS) Limited in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design, build and test high‑power converters, owning architecture from concept to prototype and qualification.

You'll develop 10–100 kW systems for aerospace, work with 270–800 V DC architectures, and apply PFC, DC‑DC conversion, SiC/GaN devices and power magnetics. The role offers a base salary of $170,000–$250,000 plus Pre-IPO equity and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and testing high-power converters or power supplies.
• Experience with 270–800V DC architectures or comparable high-power systems.
• Strong understanding of PFC, DC-DC conversion and converter topologies.
• Knowledge of SiC/GaN devices, magnetics and PCB-level power electronics.
• Practical experience taking designs through prototype, hardware bring-up, test and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing 10–100kW power converters from requirements through hardware validation.
• Evaluating PFC, DC-DC and other converter topologies and developing associated control loops.
• Designing transformers, inductors, EMI filter chokes and power magnetics.
• Owning schematic capture, PCB development, prototype build, bring-up and debugging.
• Testing and validating hardware while supporting design reviews and aerospace qualification.
