Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a High Net Worth Tax Managing Director in California to lead the private wealth practice and mentor a team of tax professionals.

You will oversee complex planning for wealthy individuals, family offices, and private businesses, review multi‑entity tax returns, and guide clients through succession and charitable strategies while partnering with firm leadership.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or law required.
• CPA or JD required.
• 8+ years' experience in tax planning for wealthy individuals and family offices.
• 4+ years supervisory experience mentoring associates.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and deliver high-quality client service.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; travel as needed.

Responsabilités

• Lead compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational affluent families, family offices and their private businesses and/or investment entities.
• Perform technical review of complex individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift and state tax returns.
• Lead engagements delivering proactive tax planning and strategic consulting including federal, estate, gift, charitable planning and generation skipping tax.
• Advise clients on business succession planning.
• Build on technical competence by keeping up-to-date on trends and authorities; apply to complex situations.
• Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
