Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an Hexagon SmartPlant Instrumentation (SI) Lead Administrator to lead administration, configuration, and operational support for SI across global projects. You will collaborate with I&C engineering, IT, and project teams to ensure data integrity and high-quality instrumentation deliverables.

The role emphasizes maintaining SI configuration standards, supporting upgrades, and driving data practices while coordinating with Smart P&ID, Smart 3D, and SmartPlant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience administering Hexagon Smart Instrumentation in EPC, owner/operator, or regulated environments.
• Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle for queries and data validation.
• Strong understanding of I&C workflows, data structures, and project delivery.
• Ability to support global teams and communicate with engineering, IT, vendors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Smart Instrumentation.
• Maintain SI standards, reference data, plant structures, templates, and rule sets.
• Manage security, access, roles, and permissions for instrumentation data.
• Support project setup, execution, and lifecycle management with I&C engineering teams.
• Enable production of Instrument indexes, datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and reports.
• Customize reports, forms, and project configurations to meet client requirements.
• Provide advanced SI user support and troubleshooting for global projects.
• Support SI integration with Smart P&ID, Smart 3D, and related systems.
• Maintain configuration control and data integrity per standards.
