Job summary

Aviation Search Group seeks a Director of Operations based in Anchorage, Alaska. The role leads regulatory, safety, and administrative functions for a Part 135 carrier, directing flight operations and ensuring compliance with FARs and the GOM.

You will oversee training, scheduling, and contracts, and report to the CEO. Willingness to travel and some relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Commercial helicopter pilot certificate required.
• First or Second-Class FAA Medical certificate required.
• Minimum 3 years of PIC experience under Part 135/121 in the last 6 years.
• Knowledge of FARs, FSIMS 8900, SOPs, and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory and operational compliance for Parts 133, 135, and 137.
• Develop and maintain GOM, OpSpecs, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with FAA, maintain FAR knowledge, and ensure crew qualifications.
• Oversee flight scheduling, maintenance coordination, and staffing.
• Manage training programs and evaluate personnel performance.
