Job summary

MHM Publishing Inc. seeks a Director of Operations (DO) for its Part 135 air carrier activities in Anchorage, Alaska. The DO ensures safe, compliant, and efficient operations in line with FARs, GOM, and OpSpecs, guiding administrative and flight-related functions.

Key responsibilities include operational control, training oversight, policy development, and coordination with maintenance and scheduling teams to support complex logistics and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Commercial helicopter pilot certificate required with FAR knowledge.
• First or Second-Class FAA Medical certificate required.
• Minimum 3 years PIC under Part 135/121 operations in last 6 years.
• Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time; mountain/island operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Director of Operations for Parts 133, 135, and 137.
• Develop, maintain, and revise the General Operations Manual and procedures.
• Submit GOM/OpSpecs revisions to the FAA and distribute updates.
• Maintain knowledge of FARs, FSIMS 8900, and industry best practices.
• Ensure crew training, currency, and qualifications are current and compliant.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Scheduling, and Chief Pilot for flight operations.
• Oversee safety, risk management, and reporting under SMS guidelines.
• Participate in hiring, evaluations, and relationships with customers.
