Job summary

EmblemHealth in New York seeks a senior analytics professional to analyze, report, and model quality metrics within the HEDIS strategy. You will automate manual reporting, govern data sources, and support all HEDIS/QARR/Star initiatives while collaborating with IT, vendors, and auditors to ensure digital readiness.

Responsibilities include developing complex analyses, maintaining dashboards, and delivering insights to stakeholders to guide strategic decisions in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in analytical/quantitative field or related area.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
• 4–6+ years of relevant, professional work experience (Required).
• 3+ years of experience in managed care/healthcare analytics (Required).
• Advanced knowledge of HEDIS and Medicare Stars with data sources.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) (Required).
• Advanced experience with relational databases (SAS, R, SQL) (Required).
• Experience with programming languages/software (Python, VBA, R, SAS, C++, or others).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) (Required).
• Demonstrated self-starter with ability to develop projects end to end (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis, reporting, and predictive modeling for HEDIS strategy.
• Automate intake, reporting, and governance of clinical data for quality metrics.
• Develop dashboards and present findings to stakeholders.
• Identify data improvement opportunities from HEDIS/QARR/Star outputs.
• Collaborate with IT, vendors, and auditors to ensure digital readiness.
• Maintain automated dashboards and quality measure profiles.
• Support quality improvement initiatives with self-service reporting.
