Job summary

Monroe Environmental Corp seeks an experienced Heavy Metal Fabricator to lay out, cut, form, fit, assemble and repair heavy-gauge metal components per drawings and schedules. You will use welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment to produce safe and durable structures.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating precision measuring tools, and maintaining quality and traceability while meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and bills of material.
• Proficiency with common fabrication tools and measuring instruments.
• Capable of following instructions and working independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and work instructions to lay out work.
• Cut, bend, roll, drill, punch, and shape heavy-gauge materials.
• Assemble components using jigs, fixtures, and tack welds.
• Operate fabrication equipment (saws, press brakes, rolls, drills, grinders).
• Weld per approved processes and inspect welds for defects.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances throughout fabrication.
• Maintain equipment and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Communicate production issues and safety concerns promptly.
