Job summary

National Airlines in Orlando, FL is seeking a Supervisor of Heavy Maintenance Planning within the Quality department. You will lead maintenance program activities, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with FAA directives and company standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining MPD tasks, updating inspection programs, and reviewing ADs with safety in mind. Strong communication, leadership, and aviation expertise are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Must communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • FAA certificate mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings; 5+ years experience preferred but not required.
  • Able to read and comprehend complex Airworthiness Directives and apply requirements.
  • Knowledge of Title 14 CFRs and maintenance/airworthiness requirements.
  • Knowledge of MSG-3 fundamentals.
  • Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and meet insurance standards.
  • Must pass a background check including CHRC; pre-employment drug test possible.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Maintains Maintenance Program tasks within the maintenance and inventory database.
  • Revises Inspection Program manuals to reflect manufacturer changes.
  • Reviews FAA Airworthiness Directives (AD) for inclusion into the applicable inspection program.
  • Processes Major Repair data and incorporates follow-up requirements into the inspection program.
  • Revises MPD task cards to include company-specific requirements.
  • Authors task cards incorporating service bulletin data associated with AD compliance.
  • Supervises staff performing Maintenance Programs tasks.
  • Reviews and revises maintenance programs to bring additional aircraft onto the certificate.
