Job summary

Pape’ Group in Fremont, CA is seeking a Shop Technician to service all makes and models of material handling and construction equipment in our shop.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment malfunctions; perform component replacements and repairs to maximize uptime for our customers. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing equipment, preferably in the material handling industry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or failures, followed by executing necessary repairs or component replacements.
• Rebuild or replace complex systems such as transmissions, masts, differentials, hydraulic components, engines, electrical systems, and/or steering mechanisms.
• Welding and fabrication work may be required as part of certain repairs.
• Work in a fully equipped shop alongside skilled technicians to maximize uptime for customers.
